Image Sequence Animation
This tutorial will teach you how to make a small movie out of a sequence of images.

** This tutorial was created using Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended

1. First thing you need to do is get your image sequence ready. For this tutorial, I have provided a 12 image set that we can use. It can be downloaded Here: Sequence Image Pack

2. Once you have that on your computer, you will see that there are 12 images. Normally, when people want to animate their images, they will open up every image into photoshop. This is something you do not need to do.

3. Now, go ahead and open up Adobe Photoshop. We want to hit CTRL+O (command + O for Mac) to open up a file.

4. Locate your sequence folder on your computer. Select the first image in the sequence. In this case, 1.jpg. Now check the box labeled Image Sequence, and then hit OPEN.

5. Now, another dialog box will appear. This is will determine how fast the animation will be. For this tutorial, we will set it at 12 fps, and then hit OK.

6. If you look at your layers pallet, you will notice there is only one layer. But there is something added, there should be a little movie icon on the layer, showing that it is a movie.

7. We are going to want to go ahead and see the animation in action. So what you need to now go ahead and do is go to Window > Animation. This will open up the Animation Dialog box. From there, you can hit play to view the animation in action.

8. Next, we want to go ahead and save our movie. Sine i am using Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended, I am unsure if the next step is available in previous version of Photoshop.

So go ahead and go to File > Export > Render to Video.

A dialog box will come up. Make sure you save it as a QuickTime Movie File from the drop down menu, and then you can name it whatever you would like. Once you are happy with your selection, hit Render.

9. Now, you can go to your sequence folder, and play your newly created quicktime file.

This will be the end result.
