Photo retouch Object focus 

Hi again all readers, in this Photoshop tutorial I will take a nice image of a flower and make it more interesting, we will do a couple of things to this image, first we will bring forth more colors, eg. make green greener and red more red. Then we will blur our the background a bit, so it looks like the photo is only focusing on the flower, as you can see from the final image below.

First thing I see is that all the colors looks kind of pail, here is how I will make the colors come forward and look beautiful.

Go to image -> adjustments -> hue and satuations, how as you can see from the image below you can go through different colors and adjust, I adjusted satuation and lightness for the red and green colors as they are the main colors in this "nature" image.

Now we need to seperate the flower shape from the background, so with the polygon lasso tool click around the flower as close as possible to make a selection as shown below.

Hold down ctrl + shift and hit i to invert the selection, then go to filters -> blur -> gaussian blur and just blur it a bit as I did below.

Now still with the inverted selection I think we can do a bit more work to the green and red colors in the background, so now we will use another tool so go to image -> adjustments -> color balance and make some small adjustments there as I did, (You might not need to do the same settings as I did, it depends on your image and what colors it contains).

Thats it, we are done, only problem with images is you can go adjust colors forever at some point you just need to say stop and accept it final product.
