Text Reflect
Summary:
One great way of enhancing text or words is by creating a reflective surface below that text. In this Photoshop tutorial, we will learn how to create the illusion of reflection upon any text or font.
Step-By-Step Instructions:
1. Open a New Document in Photoshop. Set the height/width to 500x300 to have a nice canvas area to work with your text.
2. Select the Type tool, choose a font, and type out some words.
3. Right click the Type layer from the layers palette. Choose "Blending Options" from the pop-up list.
4. Set the "Bevel and Emboss" properties to the following:

7. Click OK and you should now have some fancy looking text to work with.
8. Goto Layer > Duplicate Layer. Accept the defaults and click OK.
9. Use the move tool and move your copied Type layer down just below the previous layer.
10. Goto Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical.
11. Right click the copied Type layer from the layers palette. Select "Rasterize Layer".
12. Goto Edit > Transform > Perspective.
13. Adjust the shape handles so that the text looks similar to the following image:
14. Click the "Add Layer Mask" button from the layers palette. A small white box should appear in the copied layer. Make sure to click this box so that it is highlighted and active.
15. Select the Gradient tool. Accept the default Black to White gradient.
16. Click at the bottom of the text and drag upward, then let go. This will cause the copied text to have the appearance of a reflection.
17. This same technique can be used on colored text, images, or any other objects.
