I really hate it when someone ask's you to explain how you did something, you take the time and effort to write it all down for them and they dont even say thank you.

Here we go-cut out the image and merge it with a white background(works better this way) then desaturate the image. Apply the following-Image>Adjustments>Threshold and play around with the setting until you have something you like then apply the following filters-Filter>Stylize>Diffuse and set it to Anisotropic. Then-Filter>Brushstrokes>Spatter again play around with the sliders to taste and thats it.Use multiply to blend it with your chosen background. There are other ways to do this but I thing this way is quite easy to remember and it give good results. Alistair.
