Hey Zed, yeah things are strange here, but over in Germany, near Easter (April) they have a day (I forget what it is called) that is much the same, although the kids don't dress up, and well they don't scare anyone, they just block traffic and ask for treats or money,...so same thing,..but it is done in daylight hours, not at night...
on to the image,...I like this, if you were going for realism, I would lose the guy in top left, and also make the owl a little softer opacity, but other than that, I think this is a nice job.

btw, i was just listening to the radio and I heard that every year americans spend about 4 billion US Big ones for Halloween costumes, sweetes, cookies etc. And all you do is run around the street scaring everyone asking for sweetes...pretty wierd...
