Here is pretty much my first effort at making a website page, these are just examples I'm doing for the school, as they are in the middle of recreating their site. I would really appreciate if you could tell me what you don't like and like, so I can make a better picture of things i need to change, because I really do want it to look good when me and my mates present this to the school. I have added advertisments as I didn't know anything else to put those particular places.

this is just the design the page isn't working yet, and the ad, it probably wouldn't be there by the time we're sure what to put there, because the school already has enough money to run their own website, so that isn't really a problem....thanks anyway for your comments!
I like the 'grunge' feel to it. Is this just an image, or is these images real working webpages? either way, it looks good, looks like it would appeal to school aged peoples.
Haven't we seen that image of your school before? I seem to remember it for some reason. I like how you have turned up the saturation and then made everything B&W. If you were going to add a banner Ad, it should probably be some advert about your school, the cafeteria, library, book shop, something like that...or maybe schedule of current events, something like that. I like it so far tho,
