I think you have to apply the pattern on a straight cable then warp it to bend. I am not sure you would have the best control doing so. You may have to import to Illustrator, do the curves then bring back to PS...not sure.

I too like the pic. just giveing the hard time about the cables as a joke. the pic looks great.

Alistair, excellent work on the Mic, connector and stress-relief after the connector...I DO wonder though, how does one go about making a pattern follow a curve? Like way back when I made the gas pump, I tried to make a pattern like yours here and well it looks ok on a straight 'pipe/wire' but when it curves, the patten does not curve along the lines of the curve...anyone got any ideas an how to make that happen? Anyway, Alistair nice work here!
You must have plenty of mics hanging around since you are into music eh?

looks good. your wire is not much better than the ones on my image you were bashing months ago. pretty cornered off at points...the texture on it does not follow the curves of the wire. I like the pic very much...just the wire does stand out on the larger view.
