I'm not too crazy about the burning, looks unreal and I feel the text needs breathing space. U could have made that burned thing yourself hey, 3 little tea bags, hot water on a paper leave for 3 hours and iron it dry, then scan/photo it.

The Artwork, chest, pirate, and jewels were done by our pro artist, you can see the work on the product ( a die-cast car) at www.libertypromotions.com/cars/pirates2.htm
I wanted to do burn the treasure and stuff as well, but my boss liked it this way-because we were kind of trying to make it stick out, otherwise I would have done the edges burned as well.

it looks like an old piece of parchment until you see the treasure chest and the pile of gold that are not burned looking. That makes it stick out. Pulls them off the image and just does not fit, at least to me. With some burnging on them they would be sweet.

I like the fonts used, and the subtle background image that is faded, nice job...did you draw the character? and the other items? It DOES look like an old piece of parchment...
