it gives it character...does the archway represent a symbol of some sort?
Another thing I thought of...I couldn't put my finger on it before so I didn't say anything. The lady's robes seemed different. I think it's because they're smooth & untextured; however, almost everything is textured in the picture (bark, dirt, mountain, arch, etc.) The sash is smooth and that makes me think of the texture "Silk" and so I don't know if I could place my finger on it just right.
I am obviously judging this on a very high level - it's very talented. I just thought I'd share that.
this is totally your style and i like it. One bit of advice:
everything is very two dimensional (and it's COOL) except for the arch thing...there is a lot of three-dimesnional technique added. Though it looks awesome, it does stand out a bit in contrast.
this aside, the picture is great. I really like the tree...good work
