I agree. I wasn't obvious but my question was the authenticity of the work submitted in this post. I thought it strangely similar (though different enough) to the linked website.

rbrice...that site you linked is like a rainbow overload. Too many colors and way too much text. Very jumbled up.

I would not be wanting to copy that site at all.

Seems very similar to:

I can keep up with the flow alright, but I do think that maybe there might be too many colors. I know you probably did this on purpose though. being a webdesigner myself, I think it's a great start, but there is a bit of room for improvement (which is cool - that means you can make it better). I like the "Bollywood" "Business" and "Sports" areas the way you did them. I like the inlaid pictures you have with them.

Overall, nice work.

There is no flow to the site. Things are all over the place.

I agree with Nate. Too many colors and that makes it distracting. The next thing I would have to say is that many things are misspelled and grammatically incorrect.

I want to know how much planning went into this piece. It looks like it was an idea and then you ran with it. I think if you take a piece of paper (yes, people still use paper) to plan out the layout, you can get a better sense of what flows well and what does not. I would also suggest that you scan around the web to see many sites. Look for things you like about them and things that really stink. Go for the good items and add your flavor.

Make sure you pick a color theme and stick to it. You images (celeb pics) do not need to stay within the theme, because I doubt a celeb is going to listen to your fashion advice. Make sure the menus, backgrounds, and all other factors follow your color theme to make the page flow. Without the theme the page looks very random and no direction.

You are no doubt heading in a great direction, but I think you just need to polish the piece a bit. Keep it up.

It way way too complicated. #1 there are too many colors I try to stick with 4 colors TOPS #2. the layout is a bit jumbled #3. The gradients are too harsh(they switch to different colors very suddenly) What I would do it simplify the site a bit find 2 or 3 colors(including the Background) and stick to them and set the gradient to blend between two colors that are closer.... Keep working at it and soon you will be a full blown rocker in PS! Hope this helps ya! ;)

Your site is very colorful. I like how easy it is to read the menu bar. Other parts are hard to read like the National Channels graphic. Otherwise a nice site.
