The ribbons were done with a rake brush, it moves around as you draw on your tablet. The whole thing was done with odd in mind, so it looks like I got the effect I was after.
my first impression of the river was that it's strange. but its independance from the rest of the drawing kinda fits. I like it. I don't know about them circles though.
The river is kinda odd... so is a number of other things (circles nd stuff) butother than those things it pretty neat.. its not my favorite oriental thing you have done though.
what are those circles in the sky? I'm definately rating this a 1 :) LOL. Actually - I do like this one better than your most previous oriental drawing. There is more to it. I really like how each subject is extremly simple (like it's its own object totally physically unrelated to the others) yet it all ties in really well. It's a very unique style and it really works. Does any other artist do stuff like this? Because if not, you could have a career. I know that this kind of work would look really awesome in an acupuncture room - I have several friends who practice acupuncture.
