I need help on trying to make the skin more realistic with the elvis picture... any suggestions

reduce the green channel some... I would use Curves to do that, the opposite of green is magenta.... the face has too much magenta the hands have more green and yellow in them... that will help match the skin tones a bit

And it looks like there's less contrast (more gray) in the face than in the hands, it's a little darker, and more purple. Try reducing the red of the face a bit. Try increasing the contrast. And try lightening it up a bit. When you're done, if you merge the layers and hit [ctrl]+[shift][L], I think it will help a bit with the blending of the two layers.

Shadow the chest (where the shirt meets it on the visual left). Blend the hair to match and blur the background because it has that weird "just Scanned" look. Other than that - it's not bad.

blend the hair better too..the old is black and the new looks dark green... smudge tool should do it pretty good i think

needs some work by the neck too can tell that that head was imported..as for the skin lighten it a bit with maybee the dodge tool.. so it matches the hands...correct me if im wrong guys
