Of course, at the moment, if you go for more than 2gb of RAM you most likely won't notice the performance gains and it'll be a waste of money which you could've spent on a new processor or larger hard drive.

lol yep, you can think of RAM as a Good thing, the more, the better when it comes to speed, of course a fast processor helps as well
Alistair 06 Oct 2006 @ 16:05
If you can, get more Ram, you can never have enough and it will improve your PCs performance.

Iīve a Pentium 4, micro intel 3 GHZ, 512 RAM, 128 MGb video, 17 inch monitor....is it enough?
Alistair 06 Oct 2006 @ 06:08
Hence the line - Use as large a document as your computer can cope with.

woowww......so nice

Beware of using a file a HUGE as Alistair says (No offense to Alistair :D :D )

The only reason is if your computer is not fast it will be quite slow the more you draw.

Other than that, 300dpi 2000px X 3000px rocks, really!

Hope it helps!

Nice drawing by the way ;) good work

Alistair is like the big brother of PhotoShop. 300dpi eh? I'll have to give it a go. I made a logo for my company but when I blow it up, it looks like cow dung so that's with 72 dpi.

As far as this work goes, I do like it. The flash should be a pearlier white and slightly textured. Everything else is fine. GJ

Use as large a document as your computer can cope with and dont use anything less than 300dpi. 8 bit RGB is fine. You dont need to use CMYK unless you're sending documents to a printing house for printing.
When I open a new document it will be 2000 - 3000px wide and 300dpi. This lets you zoom right in without too much pixelation. Remember, you can always reduce the size of a document without loss of quality but you cant enlarge without loss of quality. Plus if you ever want to print anything out you wont be looking at something thats no bigger than a postage stamp sitting in the middle of an A4.

I always use 72 pix/inch, RGB 8 bit... is it o.k?
Alistair 05 Oct 2006 @ 06:55
Not bad, getting better. What size canvas and resolution do you use?
carlitos5872 05 Oct 2006 @ 06:53
I dont like the FLASH, but I try some way & I didnt get it.
