I really like your image Alistair. You have a talent for this kind of thing I thinks....in fact, even before I saw the signature of WHO it was, I said "I bet that is an Alistair image" and Yep, I was right...ok, 'nuf flattery...I too wonder what those cone thingies are? Are they silos? Storage bins? Inquiring minds want to know..

The towers are where they used to dry the hops for making beer, the end of the large barn is made from ship lapped weather board and has been painted with that black tar waterproofing paint. The buildings arn't far from where I live.
Very pleasant... I would like it better though if those cone things weren't there because I don't know what they are and it bugs me :P
The black shadow part of the house sticks out a lot and I wonder how it would look if it were more faded instead of solid.
