I was always disappointed with glass ball tutorials because they never looked realistic enough. So i set out on a mission to create a real-looking glass ball.
This is my first attempt, its 70 percent as realistic as i wanted it, but your opinions would be appreciated.

PS: I'd imagine that when you perfect this - it would be simple to add a bunch of smaller "modified glass spheres" to a leaf to give it a "morning dew" kinda look. That'd be pretty sweet.

did you do polar coordinated inside the ball?

I could when i've perfectected it. I.E. the shadow wouldn't appear under the ball. Around it, but not under it.
